چکیده

In the study, susceptibility of twelve Bemisia tabaci (Genn., 1889) (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) MEAM1 and MED populations collected from tomato pepper greenhouses in Antalya Province (Türkiye) 2019 2020 to spirotetramat, pyriproxyfen cyantraniliprole were determined. To determine lethal concentrations (LC50) for populations, spirotetramat applied using leaf dipping method second instar eggs, respectively, while a systemic uptake was used testing whitefly instars cyantraniliprole. The resistance ratios calculated by dividing LC50 susceptible population. ranged 0.28 1.70x103 mg a.i./l pyriproxyfen, 1.76 228 0.103 0.382 Resistance particularly high. For varied between 2.38 309, 4.68 17.4 times, respectively. All cyantraniliprole, but some highly spirotetramat. results will be valuable reference future monitoring management insecticide resistance.

Resistance of soybean genotypes to Bemisia tabaci (Genn.) Biotype B (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae).

The silverleaf whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Genn.) biotype B has become a serious problem for soybean cultivation because it can significantly reduce soybean productivity. The use of soybean cultivars resistant to whitefly attack is an important strategy in an integrated pest management (IPM) program. This study evaluated the preference for oviposition and colonization by B. tabaci biotype B on dif...

Inheritance of resistance to pyriproxyfen in Bemisia tabaci (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) males and females (B biotype).

We evaluated effects of the insect growth regulator pyriproxyfen on Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) (B biotype) (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) males and females in laboratory bioassays. Insects were treated with pyriproxyfen as either eggs or nymphs. In all tests, the LC50 for a laboratory-selected resistant strain was at least 620 times greater than for an unselected susceptible strain. When insects were...

Protecting Unrooted Cuttings From Bemisia tabaci (Hemiptera Aleyrodidae) During Propagation

In North America, the sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci Genn., is an important pest of greenhouse poinsettia. Growers have limited options to control this pest during propagation of cuttings, which are rooted under mist for several weeks. Early establishment of this pest increases the difficulty of managing the whitefly and retaining high aesthetic standard during the remaining crop producti...

Host Plants-associated Population Variations of Bemisia Tabaci (genn.) (hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Aleyrodidae) Characterized with Random Dna Markers

Whitefly, Bemisia tabaci is an important sucking pest of field, horticultural and ornamental plants causing feeding injuries besides spreading disease by acting as a vector of Gemini viruses. The polyphagous nature of the pest makes it as a highly complex species. The influence of six host plants utilized by the species on the population differences at molecular level was attempted using Random...

An EPG study of the probing behavior of adult Bemisia tabaci biotype Q (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) following exposure to cyantraniliprole.

Cyantraniliprole is a novel insecticide for control of multiple chewing and sucking insect pest species including the sweetpotato whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius), which is one of the most important polyphagous pests in tropical, subtropical, and Mediterranean regions. This study aims to evaluate the effects of cyantraniliprole on the probing behavior of B. tabaci on tomato. Electrical penet...
